The present invention relates to a fringe field liquid crystal display device which can improve color purity and prevent a flickering phenomenon from being generated. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the fringe field liquid crystal display device comprises: first and second pixel areas having different areas from each other; a first pixel electrode formed in the first pixel area; a second pixel electrode formed in the second pixel area and having an area different from the first pixel electrode; a first common electrode which overlaps with the first pixel electrode with a protection layer interposed therebetween, wherein the first common electrode includes at least one first silt unit; and a second common electrode which overlaps with the second pixel electrode with the protection layer interposed therebetween, wherein the second common electrode includes at least one second silt unit having the area different from the first slit unit. |
