Data streaming includes: sending a first media data stream to a destination; detecting that a portion of the first media data stream needs to be resent; and sending to the destination a second media data stream. The second media data stream comprises media data that corresponds to at least some of the portion of the first media data stream; and in the second media data stream, data that is obtained more recently is resent prior to data that is obtained less recently.

1. A data streaming system, comprising:
a circular buffer configured to record video from a camera in real-time, wherein the recorded video is stored in the circular buffer in chronological order; a communications interface configured to send data in chronological order from the circular buffer in a first media data stream to a destination in real-time; and a processor coupled with the communications interface, configured to:
detect that a portion of content from the circular buffer needs to be resent; andcause the communications interface to send a second media data stream to the destination; wherein:the second media data stream is sent concurrently with the first media data stream;the second media data stream comprises media data that corresponds to at least some of the portion of content from the circular buffer; andin the second media data stream, the media data is sent in reverse chronological order.
