The present invention relates to a gland packing with excellent lubrication and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the configuration, the method for manufacturing a gland packing comprises: a first process (S1) of forming an expandable graphite yarn; and a second process of manufacturing a gland packing. The method comprises: a primary coating process (S10) of reinforcing lubrication of the expandable graphite yarn; a first molding process (S20) of enabling the expandable graphite yarn to be braided to each other to be molded to have a packing shape; a secondary coating process (S30) of forming a secondary coating layer on an outer circumferential surface of the packing to reinforce lubrication of the packing; and a completion step (S40) of enabling the packing to be wound around a recovery roll to manufacture the gland packing. Therefore, the present invention is capable of increasing durability of a product. Moreover, the present invention is capable of preventing the packing and a shaft from being damaged to reinforce structural stability of the product. |
