<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electronic money from remaining in a medium and eliminate any possibility of leakage of credit card information. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic money settling system includes: a store terminal 20 in which an article purchase price is input; a portable terminal 10 in which the article purchase price output from the store terminal 20 is input and which requires a credit card settlement of the article purchase price; a credit server 40 that receives the request of the credit card settlement from the portable terminal and instructs to issue electronic money corresponding to the amount of the credit card settlement to an electronic money server; and the electronic money server 30 that issues the electronic money on the basis of the instruction from the credit server 40 and transmits the electronic money corresponding to the amount of the credit card settlement to the portable terminal 10.
