<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate high accuracy prediction of a reproduction color on an unknown sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The color prediction apparatus comprises: storage means for storing the spectral reflection factor determined by measuring each of a plurality of color patch images having different gray scales output on a predetermined reference sheet; output means for outputting the plurality of color patch images to the sheet while thinning; measuring means for measuring the spectral reflection factor of the color patch image output to the sheet; and difference prediction means for predicting the differential value of a reproduction color on a predetermined reference sheet and a reproduction color on the sheet thus measured, by using a spectral Neugebauer model based on the spectral reflection factor stored corresponding to the color patch image output to the sheet and the spectral reflection factor thus measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
