PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine and the exchange method of currency capable of executing merchandise selection and exchange processing for ejecting currency of denomination corresponding to the amount of selected merchandise from at least a currency ejection part in the case of exchanging currency received by a currency reception part, and ejecting the currency of denomination to be prepared by one time exchange processing.SOLUTION: The automatic vending machine includes: a currency reception part (for example, coin insertion port or paper money reception/payment port) for receiving currency; merchandise selection means 21 for selecting one or more specific merchandise from among a plurality of merchandise; a currency ejection part (for example, coin outlet or paper money reception/payment port) for ejecting currency; and a control part 12 for, when currency received by the currency reception part is exchanged, executing merchandise selection and exchange processing for ejecting the currency of denomination corresponding to the amount of the merchandise selected by the merchandise selection means 21 from at least the currency ejection part. |
