In the extraction of alumina from aluminium ore, NH4HSO4(concentration 70-80 %) having some excess equivalent ratio in respect to alumina content is added to crushing material, and by agitation, and by heating about 140≦̸C, then we obtain (NH4)2SO424H2O and Fe2Al2(SO4)424H2O, after residue is separated and removed, it adds to either amonia water or a piece of alumina, or by controlling acidity, then, mixed liquid phase can prevent. Here a precipitate of Al(OH)3 is produced from (NH4)2SO4Al2(SO4)324H2O, and Fe2Al2(SO4)424H2O, then Al(OH)3 separated and amonia water is operated each other, alumina is produced from Al(OH)3.
