PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane mark recognition device capable of improving lane mark detection accuracy while cutting calculation cost in a case of recognizing lane marks.SOLUTION: A candidate-image-part recognition unit 13 extracts lane mark candidate image parts 51c to 55c, 61c to 63c, and 71c to 78c by combining edge points estimated to be extracted from image parts of the same objects among edge points. A specific-candidate exclusion unit 14 excludes the candidate image parts 73c to 77c the length of each of which in a specific direction corresponding to a vertical direction on a corresponding actual space is equal to or larger than a specific length among the candidate image parts 51c to 55c, 61c to 63c, and 71c to 78c. A lane mark recognition unit 15 recognizes lane marks 51b to 55b and 61b to 63b on the basis of the candidate image parts 51c to 55c and 61c to 63c that are not excluded by the specific-candidate exclusion unit 14. |
