PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack that can suppress increase of the external dimension of the battery pack due to expansion when a single battery is operated.SOLUTION: A pair of end plates 4 disposed at both the ends of a rectangular battery have thin wall portions at the centers thereof so as to come into contact with the outer peripheral portion of a battery block 1. Therefore, even when expansion occurs in the thickness direction during operation of an electric cell, the pressure from the battery block comprising laminated electric cells is received by the outer peripheral portions of the end plates, and a part of the expansion amount is absorbed by the thin wall portion other than the outer peripheral portion, so that the external dimension can be suppressed from increasing. |
