PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for a brushless motor that can facilitate taking in external air with a simple structure, thereby accelerating heat radiation from the brushless motor.SOLUTION: A cooling fan 7 is attached to one end side of a motor shaft 10 formed integrally with a rotor 2 that rotates inside a stator 3. The stator 3 includes a stator core 4, insulating members 5, and coils 6. The stator core 4 is composed of a cylindrical part 40 having a substantially cylindrical shape and a plurality of tooth parts 42 projecting from an inner periphery surface 41 of the cylindrical part 40. The insulating members 5 coat the inner periphery surface 41 of the cylindrical part 40, shaft direction end surfaces 43 and 44, and the tooth parts 42. The coils 6 are wound around the tooth parts 42 coated with the insulating members 5, respectively. Ventilation concave parts 50 are provided at places between respective the tooth parts 42 adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction, where one of the insulating member 5 coats the shaft direction end surface 43 on an upwind side accompanied with rotation of the cooling fan 7. |
