The disclosed system integrates an electronic payment system with the ability to generate, accept, and/or track paper checks as well as electronic payments. One embodiment of the system includes software enabled to open an electronic account and accept funds into that account. Then, the user of that account may select either to generate an electronic payment, or alternatively, to print off a paper check from that account, using the account number of the electronic account and the name of the recipient for whom the check was intended. |
