PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality display device and an electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a display device including a plurality of first and second wiring, an electrode layer, a pixel electrode, a display layer, and a control unit. The first wiring extends in a first direction and is arrayed in a second direction. The second wiring extends in the second direction and is arrayed in the first direction. The electrode layer extends to a plane including the first direction and the second direction, and has an opening. The pixel electrode is connected to the first and second wiring via a switch element. The display layer performs optical operations of optical characteristics change and light emission. The first wiring includes first and second groups, and the second wiring includes first and second signal lines. The control unit performs: a first operation of selecting the first wiring included in the first group, and supplying an image signal of first polarity to the first and second signal lines; and a second operation of selecting the first wiring included in the second group, and supplying an image signal of second polarity opposite to the first polarity to the first and second signal lines. |
