A building construction and method of constructing a building having an intermediate wall formed between adjacent units as a dividing wall, common s wall, boundary wall or similar, in which the intermediate wall is formed from a first building panel, typically made from aerated autoclaved concrete, supported by a first wall support, typically a stud wall or similar on one side of the dividing wall, and a second building panel, also of aerated autoclaved concrete, supported by a second wall support being a stud wall on the other side of the 10 dividing wall with a gap or space between the two building panels in spaced apart opposed face-to-face relationship in which the gap or space is a maximum of 10mm. The advantage of this construction is that the width of the intermediate wall can be made thin so as to occupy less space, and hence more units can be built per area of land, whilst the intermediate wall is is compliant with the relevant regulations of the BCA regarding sound reduction and/or fire propagation. 46882191 (GHManers) P94722.AU
|
