PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for extracting a palm oil component, in each of which such a problem is solved that a large amount of the palm oil component is still left behind in the effluent to be discharged from such a process that oil palm is pressed but since the palm oil component is stuck to a solid component (sludge) in the effluent, the palm oil component cannot be extracted easily by an oil-water separation tank to be left alone.SOLUTION: The method for extracting the palm oil component comprises: a filtration step of separating the effluent (POME), which is obtained from a process for preparing crude palm oil from the oil palm and contains the palm oil component, into a residue ((the solid component (sludge)+(the palm oil component)) and waste water at the first stipulated temperature; and a recovery step of associating the separated residue with the warm water of the second stipulated temperature higher than the first stipulated temperature so that the separated residue is separated into the solid component (sludge) and the palm oil component. |
