1. A communication apparatus comprising:
a reference signal generator which, in operation, generates a CSI reference signal for channel state estimation; a mapper which, in operation, maps the generated CSI reference signal only to at least one OFDM symbol in a subframe other than subframes that can be used for MBSFM (Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network), among a plurality of subframes including at least one subframe used for MBSFN and another subframe that can be used for MBSFN, each subframe comprising a plurality of OFDM symbols; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits a signal including the mapped CSI reference signal.
