PURPOSE:To perform accurate distance measurement regardless of background light, by receiving the reflected light of pulse light, and processing the light in a high pass filter. CONSTITUTION:The irradiated pulse light is reflected by a body and received by a semiconductor position detecting element 1. The element 1 generates two optical currents whose ratio corresponds to the distance to the body. Said optical currents are processed in the HPF2, and the component corresponding to the background light in the optical currents is removed. Therefore, the accurate distance measurement can be performed regardless of the background light. |
