Disclosed is a wind turbine tower part (1) for supporting at least a wind turbine nacelle and rotor at a distance above the ground. The tower part comprises three or more corner posts (4) each including a number of mounting means (5) and a plurality of transverse braces (6) extending between neighbouring corner posts (4), wherein end parts (7) of the braces (6) are provided with brace connection means (8). The brace connection means (8) are connected to the mounting means (5) by means of a friction connection comprising fishplate means (9) extending on opposite sides of the mounting means (5) and the brace connection means (8).
