<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbon material for an electrical double layer capacitor, high in safety and suitable for mass production, the carbon material including nitrogen introduced on a pore surface of a carbon porous body. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a carbon material for an electrical double layer capacitor, inert gas is introduced in a packing cylinder packed with a reagent of one or two or more selected from the group consisting of ammonium carbamate, ammonium hydrogen carbonate and ammonium carbonate, and a carbon porous body is subjected to heat treatment in an inert gas atmosphere at least including ammonia and carbon dioxide produced through a decomposition reaction of the reagent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
