This system for depositing cells on an assay plate (1), said cells being contained in a cellular suspension (4) comprising a fixative and said cells, said system comprising a chamber (5) for receiving the suspension placed on top of the assay plate (1), the bottom of which is open and extends opposite a cell deposition area of the plate, and a fixative-absorbing material (7) placed around the chamber and the deposition area of the plate, is characterized in that the chamber (5) is mounted so as to be movable between a first position in which it rests against the assay plate (1) in order to allow cells to be deposited by decantation onto the deposition area of the plate and a second position away from said assay plate for placing the chamber (5) in fluidic communication with the absorbing material (7) so as to allow the fixative to be absorbed by this material. |
