The present invention relates to a method for preparing a multi-layer leather with chromic and cooling properties. More specifically, the method of preparing a multi-layer leather with chromic and cooling properties applies cooling materials with different chromic temperatures along with anti-fouling agents when coating a base and a medium during a painting process, so that two or more chromic properties can be implanted sequentially starting from the surface where painting is started, in active response to external environment to realize a three-dimensional multi-layer color, compared to natural leather only with a single color. In addition, the method mixes cooling materials with anti-fouling agents in a painting process to perform base coating and medium coating and additionally performs top coating with anti-fouling agents to improve fouling resistance. To this end, the method of preparing a multi-layer leather with chromic and cooling properties comprises: (a) a basic painting process of painting a mixture containing white dye on the surface of leather to prepare leather with the background color being white; and (b) a main painting process of coating a mixture containing cooling materials and anti-fouling agents by a plurality of layers on the white crust leather prepared by the process (a), so that the cooling material in each layer can have different temperature chromic range to realize multi-layer chromic properties.
