A first device may receive an alert from a second device; and execute, based on receiving the alert, a particular alerting program, of multiple alerting programs, to activate or deactivate multiple separate light sources, implemented within the first device, in a sequence in accordance with instructions included in the particular alerting program. The instructions may be selected or customizable by a user via an application associated with the first device. The first device may be separate from the second device.

a first device to:
receive an alert from a second device; andexecute, based on receiving the alert, a particular alerting program, of a plurality of alerting programs, to activate or deactivate a plurality of separate light sources, implemented within the first device, in a sequence in accordance with instructions included in the particular alerting program,
the instructions being selected or customizable by a user via an application associated with the first device,the first device being separate from the second device,the first device including a handle connected to a first portion of a transparent housing and a footing connected to a second portion of the transparent housing,the transparent housing including a circuit connecting the plurality of separate light sources.
