<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape unit which is constituted so as to prevent other members from interfering with a brush for cleaning while attaining cleaning of a magnetic head in a reduced space by providing the brush to a reader block. <P>SOLUTION: In a magnetic tape unit, a magnetic head is arranged in the middle of a conveyance path of a magnetic tape between a reader pin provided at the tip of the magnetic tape wound around a supply reel and a take-up reel into which the magnetic tape pulled out from the supply reel is taken up. The magnetic tape unit includes: a reader block 10 which conveys and fixes the magnetic tape from the supply reel to the take-up reel by moving along the conveyance path in a state of being engaged with the reader pin; a cleaning member 22 which is movably provided to the reader block 10 in a plane in parallel with the conveyance path, and includes a brush 21b for cleaning the magnetic head by rubbing it; and a power transmission mechanism 20 which converts movement of the reader block 10 into movement of the cleaning member 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
