A lighting device is provided for the uniform illumination of curved, uneven, or polyhedral surfaces. The lighting device is characterized by at least one pair of the adjacent chip-on-board LED modules being arranged at an angle greater than 0° with respect to the surface normals of the modules. |

A lighting device for uniform illumination of curved, uneven, or polyhedral surfaces, the lighting device comprising a plurality of flat chip-on-board LED modules arranged adjacent to each other at least in pairs, wherein in each pair, the chip-on-board LED modules abut each another at a joint, each chip-on-board LED module having a plurality of light-emitting LEDs, and at least one pair of adjacent chip-on-board LED modules being arranged at an angle greater than 0° with respect to the surface normals of the modules,
wherein at least one light emitting LED from the at least one pair of adjacent chip-on board LED modules lies in a different plane extending perpendicularly to a longitudinal extent of the light device than at least one other light emitting LED from the at least one pair of adjacent chip-on board LED modules such that the chip-on-board LED modules produce an elongated lighting device having an irregular or regular polygonal cross section at least in some sections along its longitudinal extent. |
