PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cubic boron nitride composite sintered body excellent in abrasion resistance and defect resistance and a cutting tool, an abrasion-resistant tool and a grinding tool.SOLUTION: A cubic boron nitride composite sintered body comprises a cubic boron nitride polycrystalline body and a ceramic phase and contains 40-80 vol.% of the cubic boron nitride polycrystalline body. The cubic boron nitride polycrystalline body comprises a cubic boron nitride single crystal of an average crystal grain size of 500 nm or smaller and wurtzite type boron nitride and contains 0.01 vol.% or more of the wurtzite type boron nitride.
