PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform relatively inexpensive and flexible home electric appliance control on an existing home electric appliance.SOLUTION: A server 300 determines, by using a trigger rule which includes a condition part including at least one event and a result part including at least one action, whether or not a trigger condition in the condition part of the trigger rule is satisfied, according to the event. The server 300, after that, instructs an appliance operation signal generator 410 to instruct a home electric appliance to perform an action specified in the trigger rule whose trigger condition is satisfied. When the action is a power supply ON instruction or power supply OFF instruction to a home electric appliance using a power switching remote control command of a toggle type, the server 300 or appliance operation signal generator 410 determines the necessity of a power supply switching instruction by confirming the present power supply state of the home electric appliance on the basis of the home electric appliance's use power measured by a power supply tap 430. |
