摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide luminescent silicon nanoparticles having a large Stokes shift and capable of highly efficient light emission, and to provide a current injection light-emitting element in which additivity of emission spectrum is achieved with a simple structure using this silicon nanoparticles.SOLUTION: A luminescent silicon nanoparticle having particle size of 3 nm or less, and in which a diamond structure is maintained from the center to the surface of a particle, emits light in each wavelength region of 535-1000 nm. An octadecane terminal nanoparticle having an emission maximum at 700 nm and particle size of 1.9 nm has a very large Stokes shift, as shown on the figure, and a light-emitting element of white, or the like, and can be achieved without employing any special structure, by using the additivity of emission spectrum, by the combination of nanoparticles of a plurality of emission colors, or partial mixture of existing light emitter.
