PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension water treatment device capable of removing suspended particles by efficiently treating slurry, or more generally, by efficiently treating various kinds of suspension water.SOLUTION: A suspension water treatment device includes a sedimentation layer having a container 11 and stack inclined plates 12, 13 which are provided in the container and are formed by stacking a plurality of plates inclined at an angle α (0°<α<90°) with respect to the horizontal direction while leaving an interval from each other and particle compaction devices 14, 15 disposed on the lower side of the sedimentation layer. The particle compaction devices 14, 15 have filter membranes in which a filter membranes 16 with a plurality of conduits extended in planes taking an angle &bgr;(0°≤&bgr;≤10°) with respect to the vertical direction, arrayed in the horizontal direction while leaving an interval from each other such that filter membranes 18 face each other. The filter membranes 18 constitute a part of lateral walls of conduits 19. When an interval of the filter membranes 18 of the filter membranes 16 with the conduits is D and a radius of particles in suspension water to be removed by the filter membranes 18 is a, D is selected so as to satisfy the following relation: 2a<D≤20a or 10 mm≤D≤50 mm. |
