<p>In the present disclosures, a plasmon antenna (22) having a rotationally symmetrical opening (22A) having a shape that is roughly rotationally symmetrical around an axis in the direction of progress of recording light radiated at a nanometer size that is larger than bit carriers (15) on bit patterned media (10) is irradiated with femtosecond pulse laser light as the abovementioned recording light, and is excited by the femtosecond pulse laser light radiated as the abovementioned recording light at the abovementioned plasmon antenna (22), and by means of the interaction of the bit carrier (15) on the abovementioned bit patterned media (10) positioned facing the rotationally symmetrical opening (22A) of the abovementioned plasmon antenna (22) and the rotationally symmetrical opening (22A) of the abovementioned plasmon antenna (22), circularly polarized light is generated within the abovementioned bit carrier (15) and information is recorded by means of direct magnetization reversal.</p> |
