<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine reproduction of sharp characters and line images and reproduction of a smooth pattern. <P>SOLUTION: A halftoning unit 116 outputs the C, M, Y data subjected to multi-value halftoning as C version data, M version data, and Y version data, but outputs the K data subjected to binary halftoning for imaging the character/line image region thereof as K(1) version data, and the K data subjected to multi-value halftoning for imaging the pattern region thereof as K(2) version data. An image forming unit 100 can reproduce sharp character/line image in the K(1) version image imaged by the K(1) version data subjected to binary halftoning, and can reproduce the gray scale of a smooth pattern in the K(2) version image imaged by the K(2) version data subjected to multi-value halftoning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
