<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of performing room temperature control which is safe to the living body of a user. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: a hot-detection sensor for detecting the hot state of a user; a cold-detection sensor for detecting the cold state of a user; and a control means for controlling operation in a normal-operation mode wherein a room temperature is controlled on the basis of a preset temperature, and in a sensing-operation mode wherein the room temperature is controlled on the basis of the room-preset temperature and detected results which are each obtained by the hot-detection means and the cold-detection means. The control means, in the sensing-operation mode, makes a correction to lower the room-preset temperature Ts by a predetermined temperature T<SB POS="POST">h</SB>when hot is detected, and makes a correction to increase the room-preset temperature Ts by a predetermined temperature Tc when cold is detected. In addition, the control means restricts the upper limit T<SB POS="POST">UA</SB>of the room-preset temperature Ts at least in the sensing-operation mode below the upper limit in the normal-operation mode, or restricts the lower limit T<SB POS="POST">LA</SB>of the room-preset temperature Ts above the lower limit TL to TU in the normal-operation mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
