<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead frame which can prevent deformation of a connecting bar while reducing generation of burrs at the time of sewing, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A lead frame 10 comprises a plurality of lead frame elements 14 each including a die pad 15 and a plurality of leads 16 provided around the die pad 15. Between adjoining lead frame elements 14, a pair of corresponding leads 16 are coupled via a connecting bar 17. The connecting bar 17 has a plurality of lead coupling parts 18 extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the leads 16 and located between the pair of corresponding leads 16, and a plurality of reinforcement parts 19 located between the lead coupling parts 18. The lead coupling part 18 of the connecting bar 17 has a section thinner than that of the lead 16, and the reinforcement part 19 has a section of the same thickness as that of the lead 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
