The present invention relates to a medium composition for culturing cells capable of producing a high concentration of a recombinant protein and, specifically, a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line transfected by a gene expressing the recombinant protein is cultured using a medium adding lithium chloride (LiCl), and the media containing the LiCl increases the production rate of non-cellular, the survival rate of cells and maximum concentration of a target protein, and thus can be helpfully used in producing the recombinant protein for treating.
