<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and recovering carbon dioxide from a mixed gas containing carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide by a PSA method, which can efficiently adsorb and separate the carbon dioxide in the mixed gas and also selectively adsorb and separate the carbon dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: A composite of a low crystalline layered clay mineral and amorphous aluminum silicate or the amorphous aluminum silicate which is a precursor thereof is used as an adsorbent.
