Provided is a filler metal for welding which enables convenient manufacture by manufacturing a C-shaped filler metal through a forming of a wire having various types of circular cross sections; and enables efficient supply by preventing corner parts from being generated. To achieve this, the present invention, which is the filler metal for welding, has the C-shaped cross section dented to a welding tip, and the C-shaped cross section of the filler metal obtained by forming a raw material.
