The present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for recommending media according to a text input in an electronic device. The method can include the operations of: displaying inputted text; comparing the inputted text and media stored in media descript DB; displaying recommended media corresponding to the inputted text of the stored media; and displaying the inputted recommended media according to the selection of the recommended media. According to the various embodiments, the present invention can increase efficiency by recommending user-centered media when inputting media.
