The present invention relates to a post for connecting a rail and an installation method of an additional rail and, more specifically, to a post for connecting a rail and an installation method of an additional rail, which allows an installed vehicle safety fence to function as a vehicle safety fence functioning as a handrail or a safety fence for a bicycle lane by extending a post and additionally installing a rail on the front surface of the extended post. The post for connecting a rail according to the present invention comprises: a body which has a certain length and is installed on the top of the post; a connection part which is extended from the bottom of the body and is inserted into the top end of the post; and a cap which is coupled to the top of the body. |
