PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of optimizing a distance between a cover portion and a supporting portion.SOLUTION: An image reading device 3 is equipped with a supporting portion 33 for supporting a document, and a cover portion 6 capable of being displaced between a closed position covering the supporting portion 33 and an opened position exposing the supporting portion 33. The cover portion 6 includes a pressing portion 43 which includes a base portion 6A and a non-foaming resin component attached to the base portion 6A, and can be relatively displaced with respect to the base portion 6A by force acted from the supporting portion 33 side, when the cover portion 6 is displaced to the closed position; and a white-color portion 45 which includes a white sheet-shaped component attached to the pressing portion 43, and is disposed at a position opposite to the supporting portion 33 when the cover portion 6 is displaced to the closed portion. |
