PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration capable of emitting a notification sound and a received voice from a common speaker, emphasizing a sound at a specific frequency easily to listen and easily maintaining a speech quality when emitting the received voice.SOLUTION: A portable reading apparatus 1 includes a sound generation section. When a received voice signal is inputted, a voice obtained by converting the received voice signal is generated from a speaker 60 and when a notification sound signal is inputted, a notification sound obtained by converting the notification sound signal is generated from the speaker 60. A resonator 70 is then disposed in a route for emitting the sound from the speaker 60 to the outside of a case.
