Provided are: a polymer film for detection of cancer cells that has on the surface thereof a template having a three-dimensional structure which is complimentary to a portion of the stereo structure of the cancer cells which are detection targets; a manufacturing method for the polymer film; and a cancer cell detection device using the polymer film. The polymer film for detection of cancer cells can be obtained by a manufacturing method comprising steps such as the following: a step for forming a cancer-cell containing polymer film in which cancer cells are taken in by polymerizing a monomer in the presence of cancer cells which are the detection targets; and a step for removing at least some of the cancer cells that are taken in by the cancer-cell containing polymer film.
