PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system capable of extracting power from a first device with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A power generation system 1 includes: a heat source 2 of which the temperature is varied with the passage of time; a first device 3 of which the temperature is varied with the passage of time in accordance with a temperature change of the heat source 2 and which is electrically polarized; a second device 4 which forms a circuit for extracting power from the first device 3; a battery 7 to which the power extracted from the first device 3 is supplied; a voltage application device 9 for applying a voltage to the first device 3; a voltage sensor 35 for detecting a voltage of the first device; a switch 23 for opening/closing a circuit; and a control unit 10 for controlling operation of the switch 23 in accordance with the detection of the voltage sensor 35. On the basis of a peak in the voltage of the first device 3 detected by the voltage sensor 35, the control unit 10 makes the switch 23 bring the circuit into a closed state. |
