<p>The present invention relates to a method and a device for generating a high quality image with at least one of a high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and a high resolution using low resolution pixel shifted images. In an embodiment, the method includes, reading out a plurality of super-pixel values from a pixel group on an image sensor. Further, the method includes generating low resolution pixel shifted images by shifting a position of the pixel group across the image sensor, wherein the at least one pixel group is shifted based on a predefined step size. Furthermore, the method includes generating a final image which has one of, a substantially high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and a substantially high resolution, wherein the final image is generated using the low resolution images and the predefined step size.</p> |
