<p>A card connector can prevent plastic deformation of a switch spring member of a card detection mechanism for the card connector, and can promote minimization of the card connector. A basic structure of the card detection mechanism (14) is the switch, and the switch comprises a switch spring sheet (15) with elasticity and conductivity and a switch opposite sheet (16). Basic end portion (151) of the switch spring sheet (15) is planted on a left side wall (11a) side of a housing (11) of the connector, an elasticity deforming portion (152), a clamping portion (153) and a contact portion (154) form a whole body cantilever structure. A basic end portion (151) side is a fulcrum, the contact portion (154) is a free end, and elasticity deflection is generated. The clamping portion (153) is clamped with a fixed protrusion (17) vertically arranged on a side of a card containing space (12), once overload caused by insertion of the card into a card insertion port (13) is enforced, then the clamping portion (153) is clamped on the fixed protrusion (17). Furthermore, deflection exceeding elasticity limitation of the switch spring sheet (15) can be suppressed.</p> |
