The assembly has a locking element (23) adapted to be moved toward an unlocking position by the rotation of a driving element relative to an driven element (2) in case of drive of the driving element by the driven element. The locking element is distinct from a movable backlash element (8). Elastic return units (14) are mounted between the locking element and the backlash element, where unlocking of the locking element is obtained by movement between the locking element and the backlash element. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a torque transmission assembly.
