<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anodizing apparatus which performs anodizing on an objective surface part of an object to be treated without using a masking material. <P>SOLUTION: A piston ring groove W1 of a piston W is anodized. More precisely, the side peripheral surface Wf including the piston ring groove W1 at the top side, of three piston ring grooves W1, W2, and W3 formed from the top existing in the outer peripheral surface at the top of the piston W to a skirt part is mainly anodized.
