A method of transplanting water plants includes removing a clump (17) of water plants (2) from a dig-up site (3) along the bed (11) of a body of water (10); digging a seat for the clump (17) in the bed (11) of the body of water (10) at a planting site (4); transporting the clump (17) of water plants (2) from the dig-up site (3) to the planting site (4); and bedding the clump (17) in the seat.
