PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process to utilize waste PET for conversion into an industrially useful additive for bituminous product; and a process for effective and bulk use of aminolysed product of PET polymers.SOLUTION: A process for preparing modified bitumen comprises reacting amido amines or polyamido amines, isocyanate or polyisocyanate, and bitumen, in a solvent. In a process, the amido amines or polyamido amines are reacted with the isocyanate or polyisocyanate, prior to reacting with the bitumen. In a process, the amido amines or polyamido amines, isocyanate or polyisocyanate, and bitumen are reacted simultaneously. In a process, the amido amines or polyamido amines are prepared by reacting polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with amines or polyamines. |
