An embodiment of the present invention relates to an authentication method and an authentication device using the same wherein recognition performance can be maintained to be constant by an update function even when the number of users, distribution of the users, and the environment change. Disclosed are an authentication method and an authentication device using the same includes the steps of: (A) learning and register a first user in a user group; (B) recognizing features of the first user in a discriminator; and (C) discriminating the first user in the discriminator. Step (A) comprises the steps of: (A-1) extracting a feature vector of the first user; (A-2) generating a decision tree by using the feature vector of the first user. In step (C), the first user is discriminated by matching the feature vector of the first user recognized in step (B) with the decision tree. |
