<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure fixability of a developer to a recording medium under a low-temperature environment and suppress a reduction in productivity.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes a conveyance unit 90 that conveys a sheet P, a fixing device 100 that fixes a toner image TG, an environmental temperature sensor 21 that measures environmental temperature, and a control part 20 that performs various controls. When the environmental temperature measured by the environmental temperature sensor 21 is equal to or lower than an environmental setting temperature TS, the control part 20 reduces the rate of fixation at the fixing device 100 and reduces the conveyance distance between a plurality of sheets P to be conveyed. With this configuration, the quantity of heat required for the fixation of the toner image TG is supplied, and thereby ensuring fixability. The reduction in the conveyance distance between the sheets P can suppress a reduction in productivity.</p> |
