<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring rope which has both the original function of a rope and a length measuring function.SOLUTION: In a measuring rope, a rope core 1 is provided, and a synthetic resin inner coat layer 2 is coated on the outer periphery of the rope core 1. Graduations 3 for showing the lengths of the rope are printed on the surface of the inner coat layer 2. A transparent synthetic resin outer coat layer 4 is coated on the outer periphery of the inner coat layer 2. The graduations 3 printed on the surface of the inner coat layer 2 can be read with the naked eye through the transparent outer coat layer 4, so that the rope itself can also serve as a length measuring tool. The printed graduations 3 are protected by the outer coat layer 4, so that the graduations 3 do not become lost or thinner even when the rope is used in a severe environment over a long period of time. The whole surface of the outer periphery of the rope core 1 is in contact with the inner coat layer 2, and the whole surface of the outer periphery of the inner coat layer 2 is in contact with the outer coat layer 4. In addition, the rope core 1, the inner coat layer 2 and the outer coat layer 4 are formed in a concentric structure. As a result, the length graduations hardly cause an error and can be kept highly accurate even under the influence of temperature, humidity, wind, rain and so on.</p> |
