PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress backflow of a toner to a developing unit to further increase recovery efficiency of the toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor; a developing unit 11 that develops an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor with a developer; a suction duct 31 that has one end provided in the vicinity of the developing unit; a recovery box 40 that is connected with the other end of the suction duct 31, accommodates a suction fan and a filter provided on the upstream side of the suction fan, and sucks a developer scattered on the developing unit 11 by the suction fan through the suction duct to be adsorbed on the filter; a vibration motor that vibrates the filter; an air assist fan 55 that blows the air to the inside of the duct in the middle of the suction duct 31; and a control unit that drives the air assist fan 55 during non-image formation period and drives the developing unit 11 when driving the air assist fan 55. |
